Elizabeth Kurucz is a Senior Research Fellow with the York Institute for Research and Innovation in Sustainability. She currently teaches MBA level courses in strategy and sustainability in the Business and Sustainability program at the Schulich School of Business, York University. Her research in the area of organizational change and sustainability is focused on the challenges of implementing sustainability initiatives in organizations and on developing an understanding of how resistance to these initiatives might be overcome. Dr. Kurucz has worked with a range of organizations on research initiatives from private sector to government and NGOs. Her most recent research is focused on the role of educational organizations in learning for sustainability and community engagement and the creation of public value.
